NEW SIMULATOR TRAINING - 30 MARCH 2006

Realistic simulators within a dedicated training facility.

Compass Sea School Ltd has invested in new integrated Radar, Communications and Navigation simulators which are located in a dedicated training room within the centre. The new facility offers realistic training allowing students to practice either individual tasks for electronic navigation techniques, radio procedures or radar plotting tasks or, when configured together, the system will allow the student to become immersed in a realistic scenario thereby enhancing the learning experience, all within the comfort and safety of a real time simulation.

Jake Scott – Compass Sea School Principal says, ‘this new facility enhances the learning opportunity for any student. Many people are used to the normal desktop computer based package which offers all the basics, however, this immersive facility allows the student to practice the combined skills required to become competent in many aspects of modern communications and navigation systems within a busy environment. It’s been a great hit with all our customers’.
